Knowledge Workers

Are you a knowledge worker?

Are you a producer, user or consumer of information?

We are all consumers of information - anytime you are reading the paper, magazine of book or watching TV or a movie - you are consuming. The question is whether you produce or use information that you or someone else uses to do their work.

Producers - Individuals, workgroups, or organizations that earns more than 50% of their income producing (authoring) content or digital media assets such as text, code, spreadsheets, charts, art, graphics, audio, video or streaming media.

Users - Individuals, workgroups, or organizations that earns less than 50% of their income producing content or digital assets, but use or reuse digital assets and/or information to drive sales, markets, business and/or process improvements to create and deliver value to customers and shareholders.

Consumers - Individuals, workgroups, or organizations that earns nothing from their use or production of information but use content / media to influence buying, selling, or sourcing things to fulfill self-service satisfactions.
